Hello again, I'm very interested to know if anybody has made any contact with these two ex Cdo's & SAS Jimmy Ladner & Rusty Firmin. I tuned into a documentary on Channel 4 SAS the real story, in the first ten minutes their on screen was Jimmy describing in detail his part of the victory which took place at the Jebel Akhder in the Oman in 1959, he was ex 79 Bty. On the same w/end I was reading last Saturday's  daily mail about the Iranian embassy siege which happened exactly thirty years ago and Rusty who played a vital roll in bringing it to an end had his name mentioned, he went on to co. write a book titled Go Go Go. Last I saw of Rusty was in 1982 so If anybody knows where they are put a note on the website. regards Rab Scott.

Hi,

I am a former Royal Marine who was attached to 29 Commando during a Norway deployment.  My memory has become foggy with time and I am trying to remember some of the details of the deployment.

It was either 1980 or 1981 and at the time I was with Oversnow Troop, Commando Logistics Regiment.  Two of us were attached to 29 CDO to take care of their Bandwagon's.  If anyone recalls the exact year and the location in Norway we were based and remembers us two Bootnecks I would appreciate you contacting me.  It is funny because I recall other Norway deployments in good detail, but for some reason I am having a hard time remembering much about this deployment.

Hi

I would like to know if you have any picture of my dad Mr Noel Patrick Morrissey who I was in the 95 Commando RA.

He was in service about 1965 – 1970. Also had a friend called Charles Gardiner in the same regiment

I would be grateful for any info.

Regards,

Saveikah Morrissey

Responding to Brian Astall's email, mentioning names Taff Johns, Paddy Bryant, Paddy Flynn and Danny Dwyer. These people sound familiar to me, as back then I was Mary Moore, wife of Jim Moore. He has sadly passed away a few years now. I remember the happy times I spent involved with 29 commando, in Singapore and in Plymouth at the Citadel. It would be great to meet up with some well known faces. Perhaps there will be another reunion at the Citadel in 2010. I did go to 'Music of the Night' in 2006 where I met Tommo (?) and NevIlle Stone. Other names that come to mind are Dusty Miller and somebody Jones. This would be 1966 - 67. Of course it may seem odd for a widow to be looking up her husbands friends, still it would be nice to hear where people are and what they are doing now. We are encouraged to use these sites! Best wishes to you all.

evans.jobo.joe@googlemail.com - get in contact on my grandsons email. Thank you

Dear sir  I visited your site and came across a name I have been chasing for nearly 40 yrs. John Brimble and further searching I read on your site that his daughter was looking for him and  found him. Having left her email on site I sent her an email which is now defunked, so that was a dead end. Anyway on further searching I read about a Jerry Josee and that you passed on his details and so I was wondering if it was possible to do the thing with mine and mention Alamein troop Woolwich 1970 we went to Plymouth, but my left knee would not play so ended up in 38/40thfld guterslouh Germany as a PTI. My mobile 07507647542 name Mark Dwyer Gunner any further details I will gladly supply god bless them all here's hoping. You do great job with the web site, I know I have found some of my army buddies from your site and there is nothing like meeting your old muckers and Brimble was one of mine, thanks a great deal Gnr Dwyer. I would also be grateful if anyone has any info on Jock Winter.
Email address: markdwyer12@yahoo.co.uk

The last contact details I have for John Brimble are now no longer working. If anyone can help Mark please email him direct. Thanks Randy.

Hello Randy, I saw that someone was trying to find out about Ken Ince, my mate Lofty Bowden was with him when he was killed. I have asked him if I can give the people his email.  Here is my mates email, gypo44@live.com. There still lots of people who knew him still living in Plymouth. When I come down November I will try and contact them.
Haggis Mulloy ex 8

Does anyone have contact details for Rog Carpenter? He was a Sgt in the REME at the Citadel while I was there as UTO. Rog and I go back to the 60s when we were both Mods kicking about in Worthing and Brighton. We then met up again in Hohne, previously unaware that we'd both taken the shilling. Rog left 29 in the late 80s to set up a windsurfing school in Thailand, where he settled down. I was in touch with him last year, but lost his email address when my hard drive went t1ts up. Nick Hills. nick@ceramicstove.com

I have recently spent much time reading your site and have found it very interesting.

My name is Steve Emery and I am trying to track down some old friends that I served with back in the 1960's in 95 Commando 7BTY.

My name was 'Emery' as I did not hold a specific nickname.

I served 1963-1968 and was stationed in Plymouth and Singapore.

I am interested in finding 'Paddy' Kelly although I would be happy to hear from anyone who remembers me.

Attached are a couple of photo's and I would be happy for them to be put on the site. One is of me and the other is of the BTY.

I can be contacted at mry@docking22.wanadoo.co.uk

Look forward to hearing from you.

Stephen Emery

Hi, I am trying to contact a friend of mine who I joined the RA with in 1977.

Tim Borrill and I joined Mercer Troop JLRRA and after training went our separate ways, he to 29 Cdo and me to 27 Fd Regt. We lost contact from then and I often wonder what became of him. We were thrown together as we had the same surname but no relation... everyone thought we were brothers and it remained a reason for us to be friends.

Can I ask that if you are in contact with him you may pass on my e-mail and ask him to drop me a line. Or if you are happy to let me have his e-mail and I will make the first contact

Kind regards

Graham Borrill
